CITAZIONE
Olympic gold medalist, fashion model, TV star, pink-convertible owner. Sound like the unreasonable goals of your childhood? Because it's Nastia Liukin's life.

We recently caught up with the rock-star champion gymnast to chat about the perks of winning Olympic gold, stone-cold death stares, pickup lines and more. (Full disclosure: We were also hoping that maybe just a little bit of her superstar aura would rub off on us. Come on, old dreams die hard.)

What's harder -- walking down a runway or walking on a beam?
Beam! Beam is harder! ... I was really nervous because it was my first time walking in a fashion show, but everyone was so friendly. I talked to Hilary Duff and her mom a lot before, and she was really nice. And I talked to Brittany Snow. They were all nervous too, which made me a little less nervous. It was a really great experience.

You wore Max Azria in the show, and we just saw your shots in his new image book. How did you get involved with him?
I was so honored to be able to do that. I went to Max Azria's show in the fall and got to meet him backstage. Later he contacted us and asked if I wanted to be in their spring campaign. The photo shoot was a lot of fun, very different and high-end fashion, but neat because I was able to incorporate gymnastics into the fashion.

And you're doing some designing as well?
I have my own line of jeans for Vanilla Star. They were one of my sponsors before the Olympics, and after that they asked if I wanted my own line and of course I was super-excited. It's been really fun to be on the design team.

You have the most amazing death stare when you're competing. That must have come in handy for the fashion show.
Oh, gosh, the look! People always tell me I look so mean and rude on TV. I know a lot of my friends get asked, "You know Nastia? Is she really that mean?" But I'm really not! Everyone's different, Shawn [Johnson, Nastia's Olympic teammate] smiles all the time, but that's just not me.

So how can we get a Look of our own?
For me, it's just how I stay focused and concentrated. I stay in my little bubble, and don't look around too much. It's about staying in the zone and not thinking about anything except yourself and the competition.

Our men's site, Asylum, does a feature on things not to say to different types of women. Do you have any tips on pickup lines guys should avoid for Olympic gymnasts?
Everyone always tells us that we're really short. We know that. People are also like, "You look like a gymnast because you're so bulky!" We actually hate when people say our muscles are bulky.

We know you love pink. Can we get your expert opinion on our 'worst pink products ever' gallery? Which products cross the line?
Pink is my lucky color ... I picked out a pink leotard for the all-around, and since then everyone relates me to pink. I have a pink camera, and a pink phone case, and a pink case for my Apple computer. For my welcome-home parade, they customized a pink convertible for me. But the pink hardware set -- that's pushing it. And I definitely wouldn't go for the pink knife set.

Bellissima la fine XD
